It's 1962 and Baltimore's Tracy Turnblad, a big girl with big hair wins a spot on the local TV dance program. Overnight, she is transformed from an outsider to a teen celebrity. The upbeat score includes "You Can't Stop the Beat," "Good Morning Baltimore," and the title song "Hairspray."
